Colorado CSAs – Community Supported Agriculture

Narrow your search for CSA's:

We all think we know what agriculture is, growing food, right? Well, its a bit more complex than that these days. The food we eat is mostly grown by large agribusiness operations that commonly use pesticides, herbicides and insecticides to protect their crops. These crops are grown on large tracts of land where they are mono-cropped. They are also often genetically modified or GMO, grown from seeds that are owned by the company producing them. They are also most likely nowhere near where you live and could even be on another continent! This actually sounds more like a manufacturing process, doesn’t it?

What you see here on this page is an invitation to enter the world of Community Supported Agriculture, or CSAs. CSAs are locally based farms that produce food for their communities: restaurants, farmers markets, supermarkets and roadside stands. They are your neighbors. They are families. Increasingly, they are organic farmers or, at the very least, are concerned about what they spray on the crops they grow because they also live there!
We invite you to explore the world of CSAs and the work they do to feed their communities and to care for their environment, our environment!
